The difference between a pregnant cat's nipples & a non-pregnant cat with pictures.
Here is a great information post for you potential kitten buyers and owners! I decided to show you how breeders know if a cat is pregnant or not. The main way to tell is by seeing them mate. However, in Diva's case, she was a silent breeder and we never caught them. Yet, we can still tell that she is pregnant from looking at her kitty nipples. Hers are swollen and pink and now they are getting a white tip to them, which tells me her milk is getting ready to come in. When the milk comes in birth is expected within 48 hours.I gave you a poster here that shows what Diva's nipples looks like compared to our non-pregnant cat Dolly. Hopefully you can now tell the difference. Oh, and no cats were harmed in the taking of these photos. Our girls like having their bellies rubbed.
